Contemporary Interventions in Neurological Rehabilitation

Module aims

This module is part of the MSc Advancing Physiotherapy programme for experienced clinicians. It aims to investigate, apply and critically evaluate contemporary interventions currently used or being researched within neurological rehabilitation. The module will promote a varied and eclectic approach to rehabilitation and support learners in developing their clinical skills in relation to the current evidence base. Learners will be introduced to a range of clinical techniques relevant to neurological rehabilitation and they will be encouraged to critically evaluate these in relation to their own practice. This module will compliment the more theory-led approaches dominant in other neurological physiotherapy modules and is recommended as a “starter” module” for experienced neurological therapists new to level 7 study.
