Parents, carers and families are key influencers of young people's life, career and progression choices. For those families without significant previous experience of higher education, choices and options can be confusing. The volume of information available, and the many different pathways, can sometimes be overwhelming.
This area of the website will help you make some sense of the information, help and opportunities available to you and your son or daughter.
Parental support in decision making is invaluable
We have separated the information into sections that are appropriate and relevant to parents. However as a parent or carer you would be well advised to also look at information under the learners' section of the website - as this will give a deeper understanding of terminology and further insight into some of the issues facing your son or daughter in making an appropriate choice about their future careers, with a view to possible progression to higher level courses.
