Read Ken Boston's statement on NC tests

Our Chief Executive welcomed the announcement by Ed Balls that the national curriculum assessment system is to be reformed. The Secretary of State said that compulsory national tests at the end of Key Stage 3 would be replaced by improved classroom assessment by teachers, as well as frequent reporting to parents in years 7, 8 and 9.

Ed Balls announces early support to keep pupils on track
