Chatsworth House - Wednesday 25 July 2007

On Wednesday we will leave after lunch for a trip into the Peak District to visit Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and one of the finest stately homes in Britain. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit the house and the gardens. In the evening there will be pre-dinner drinks and our very own Chatsworth House Barbeque held in the Jean Pierre bar, located in the picturesque 18th century stable block. A plentiful supply of the two specially-brewed ICCS real ales will also be available.

Chatsworth has most recently been featured in the highly acclaimed film version of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice' in which the house forms the setting of Pemberley, Mr Darcy's fabulous home. On the coach journey to Chatsworth, you will see some of the spectacular Peak District scenery also shown in the film.
