Training events
SINTO runs a wide range of training and CPD events to meet the needs of LIS organisations and individuals. Events are open to everyone. SINTO member organisations and their staff receive a discount on most events

NG12 Evaluation and Certification Event 17th April 2012, York Minster
"Attending the SINTO Next Generation Programme gave Lawrence the skills and confidence to become self managing after the retirement of his line manager, and during a period of rapid change and transition in the library service. Lawrence is undoubtedly better equipped to deliver children's library services than he was prior to attending this course."

SINTO has joined forces with Leeds City LIbraries and St.Mary's Conference Centre in Sheffield to provide a free training event on the topic of community engagement in Libraries. The training is hugely popular and has been very beneficial to LA Librarians whi have already taken advantage of it, in Leeds and Kirklees.
Visit includes a tour of the collections unique to Western Bank, the National Fairground Archive and the Special Collections Department.
The hugely successful Next Generation Management Development Programme for staff from museums, libraries and archives in Yorkshire has been running since 2001.
