Training events

SINTO runs a wide range of training and CPD events to meet the needs of LIS organisations and individuals. Events are open to everyone. SINTO member organisations and their staff receive a discount on most events

Measuring and communicating impact: advanced advocacy.

This workshop follows on from Gaining support and influence. This session takes advocacy a step further. It looks at ways of raising the profile of your organisation by making sure you demonstrate how it already plays a part in the delivery of key policy agendas.

Introduction to training skills
Tuesday 24th & Wednesday 25th January 2012
£180 / £230 2 day course.

An introduction to training skills for library staff. Suitable for people with little or no experience of delivering training. Will cover the planning and delivery of training for library staff who have to deliver staff training, IT taster sessions, information literacy workshops or similar events.

Answering enquiries successfully

£60 / £70

A repeat and update of the successful Enquiry desk techniques events that we have run in the past this workshop will cover the essential interaction with the enquirer - whether they are face to face or remote - and the skills needed to find the information. So much is changing in libraries but this remains a core competence for library staff.
