Membership of SINTO is open to all organisations involved with, or interested in, the provision of information in the Yorkshire and East Midlands regions and surrounding areas. Details of the benefits of SINTO membership can be found here.

Subscriptions rates
The three founder members of SINTO (Sheffield Libraries, Archives & Information, University of Sheffield, and Sheffield Hallam University), pay a significant annual donation. Other members pay according to subscription categories based on their size. The definition of small, medium and large sized organisations is flexible. It includes the size of the library or information service (usually measured by staff numbers) and the level of involvement in and use of SINTO services (including the inter-library loan scheme). As a guide, public authority libraries and university libraries would usually be classed as large; colleges would be large or medium; SMEs would be small or medium. VAT is payable on all subscriptions.
The rates for this financial year are:
A £48.00 + £9.60 VAT = £57.60 [Organisation with no dedicated Library/ Information Service]
B £100.00 + £20.00 VAT= £120.00 [Small Library/ Information Service]
C £210.00 + £42.00 VAT= £252.00 [Medium Library/ Information Service]
D £410.00 + £82.00 VAT= £492.00 [Large Library/ Information Service]
E Supporting members from £800.00 [negotiable with SINTO Director]
F Sponsoring members £174.00 + £34.80 VAT = £208.80
