The Striders Fell Championships is a series of nominated races through the year in which club members are competing against others from within the club. Points are gained according to the respective finishing positions relative to other Striders in the same age/gender category. Presentations are made to the leading runners in each category at the A.G.M. in March following the competition. Rules of the Club Fell Race Championships

A minimum of 6 of the nominted races have to be completed to qualify for the championships. 10 points are awarded in each race to the 1st male/female Strider in each age category, 9 points are awarded in each race to the 2nd male/female Strider in each age category etc. To encourage active participation in as many events as possible Striders will be awarded 1 bonus point for every race completed. In addition, to encourage as many people as possible to take part in the Grindleford Fell Run, every Striders finishing this race will be awarded 5 bonus points. Age categories for men and women are: senior; over 30; over 40, over 50 and over 60. Age categories are determined by your age on the date of the first race of the series. In the event of a tie at the end of the year within a category the winner would have been decided by a) head to head times, b) number of races completed, c) drawing of lots.
