WiSET update
Many of our external partners and supporters will be aware that we have been going through a period of change. We are now part of the Centre for Development and Research in Education, the research centre of the Sheffield Institute of Education, which brings together the Centre for Science Education and the Centre for Education and Inclusion Research. Pat Morton, Denise Eaton and Jill Collins are no longer working at Sheffield Hallam, but the two-way support of our colleagues in our new centre and in the Sheffield Institute of Education (SIOE), including Professor Hilary Povey, Dr Carol Taylor, Dr Colin McCaig and Professor Jacqueline Stevenson, adds to our portfolio of research in gender and maths education; widening participation and women in the workplace. For the future, we are keen to collaborate on projects and activities with our networks of partners, and will continue to raise the profile of women in SET both within the University, in schools, with employers and in society.
