Can Seamer Operating Instructions

Double seam measurements should be set before use according to type and size of can being used.

SEE DOUBLE SEAM SETTING PROCEDURE

Only competent and trained operators should operate this machine

1. A filled container is placed on to the lifter platform

2. A cover is placed on the positioning rig located on the inner side of the chamber door

3. Close and lock the vacum cabinet door

4. Operate vacuum release valve to create a vacuum to 18 on vacuum Red Scale

5. Start the seaming chuck drive motor

6. Using the lifter lever, lift the container up to the seaming chuck, ensuring the can is clamped upto the seaming chuck and the unit is revolving smoothly

7. Depress the operating lever gently to the right hand side of the machine. The automatic operation of the seaming cycle will then take place and the seaming operation is completed when the operating lever returns to its rest position

8. If necessary, remove any residual vacuum by operating the vacuum release valve

9. Stop the seaming chuck motor

10. Using the lifter lever, lower the container to the bottom of the lift stroke

11. Open door

12. Remove the double seamed container

13. Repeat the above sequence for any further containers

Using the lifter lever, lift the container up to the seaming chuck, ensuring the can is clamped upto the seaming chuck and the unit is revolving smoothly 7. Depress the operating lever gently to the right hand side of the machine. The automatic operation of the seaming cycle will then take place and the seaming operation is completed when the operating lever returns to its rest position 8. If necessary, remove any residual vacuum by operating the vacuum release valve 9. Stop the seaming chuck motor 10. Using the lifter lever, lower the container to the bottom of the lift stroke 11. Open door 12. Remove the double seamed container 13. Repeat the above sequence for any further containers
