I am a learner
Are you aged 13-19 and still at school or college? Are you wondering what you’ll do when you leave?
Do you have interests and talents but you don’t know if you can make a living out of them?
Do you think going to uni is for other people and you certainly don’t want to take on all that debt? Perhaps none of your friends are going into higher education, perhaps you don’t know anyone in your neighbourhood who’s ever gone.
If you want to end up in a good job, the chances are you will need to do further study of some kind – whether it’s a course or an apprenticeship.
Not all further study is at university, it can be at a local college, and finance is not the hurdle that everybody makes out. There is a lot of confusion and mis-reporting.
We can help you work out your options and find out what’s best for you. If it’s going on to further study at college or uni, we can help you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed – or we can put you in touch with the right people to help you.
We don’t belong to any one university or college, so we can offer impartial information and advice.
We work with your school or college so that you can
- try new activities
- explore where you want to go in life
- build your confidence
- gain new skills
- make new friends
- get more choice
Our programme is focused on certain parts of South Yorkshire and neighbouring areas. You can check if this applies to you by clicking on the link below (Am I eligible?).
Alternatively, if you just want more information and resources to help you think through your options, there is lots of great stuff for you on the Hepp website, our sister organisation.
