Introduction to Training Materials
These materials are designed for preparation of assessors using the Behavioural
Status Index (BEST-Index).
On completion of the training, assessors will be able to:
- observe and interpret behaviour accurately
- describe and discuss the main structural and developmental features
of the BEST-Index
- express the meaning of any item descriptor clearly and consistently
- interrogate clinical notes and appreciate their relevance to the
scoring of identified items
- perform a specimen ordinal assessment using selected sub-scale items
from the BEST-Index
