Combining Science with History
The collaboration between the history and science teachers for the Double & Truple Crossed projects was hugely successful. The conception and design of the cross-curricular resource required a creative developmental process to ensure an appropriate balance between both the history and the science elements.
Having never worked together before, the teachers were thrown into unfamiliar working relationships which, in time, developed into proficient creative partnerships. This has resulted in the creation of innovative cross-curricular resources that are shaped by the knowledge and expertise of both the science and the history teachers involved.

By working through these tasks together the teachers were able to establish confident and effective working partnerships through the development of mutual understanding and shared goals.
Furthermore, while the cross-departmental working was agreed to be at times challenging, feedback from all of the participating teachers indicated that a challenge such as this was integral to their professional development needs.
