This is a twentieth century print rendering of the text. Note the continued simplification of physical style: the large-font initial letter and clearer type. On the other hand, there is improved editorial technique. Most of Sidney's spellings and his grammar have been restored, and the provisional nature of the long-accepted title is acknowledged by its inclusion in square brackets.

The technology changes begin to accelerate here. Although type is most probably Monotype letterpress, this is set by a keyboard operator. Proofs have been photographed and the printing done by offset lithography.
