The Observatory builds on and extends the work of the two Centres involved. CSE is the UK’s largest academic group in STEM education and has carried out a wide range of programmes and projects over the past 25 years. CEIR is one of the UK’s leading groups working on education and skills policy and practice research. Bringing these two centres together creates a critical mass of expertise and experience, which underpins the work of the Observatory.
