Higher Futures at the adult learning fair

8 August 2008

Higher Futures will be appearing at the adult learning fair in Sheffield city centre on Saturday 23 August 2008.

Representatives from many adult education providers and organisations will be on Fargate from 10am on Saturday.

Higher Futures is one of 31 Lifelong Learning Networks (LLNs) across the country, which are dedicated to enhancing the progression opportunities of vocational and work-based learners from advanced courses to higher education.

We focus on five employment sectors, where a need for more highly qualified employees have been identified:

  • Early years
  • Engineering
  • Health and social care
  • Sport, leisure and public wellbeing
  • Sustainable communities

Learners can benefit from a network of educational contacts across South Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire. Adults in the community, whether currently employed or not, who are interested in entering higher education in these sectors can also benefit from the network.
