Business & Computing / ICT Curriculum & Support Group

A new curriculum staff group has developed this year to support the BP projects in Business and Computing. The group is made up of managers and programme leaders of Business and Computing programmes in partner colleges and representatives from Sheffield Hallam University Schools of Business and Computing.

The group is supporting the implementation of the project action plan to enhance progression opportunities for learners on Level 3 programmes. Activities that are being developed by Building Pathways include clarifying progression routes to local programmes; developing cross institution visits with the assistance of student ambassadors from Sheffield Hallam University and to work with the Business and Education-South Yorkshire organisation to develop vocational 'master-classes' for learners on business and computing programmes.

It is hoped that through regular meetings of the group further links can be made between FE and HE to support the transition of local learners between institutions.
