Engineering & Construction Curriculum & Support Group

Building Pathways has been involved in a number of projects aimed at promoting progression routes into Higher Education Engineering and Construction Programmes. Partners involved in the projects include Doncaster College, Barnsley College, Chesterfield College, Rotherham College The Sheffield College as well as Sheffield Hallam University's Schools of Engineering and Environment and Development and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB)

Currently the main focus of the Engineering and Construction group has been on developing the project promoting progression routes for Advanced Apprentices. Further information is available.


The group meets at least once each term. Additional activity and the involvement of a wider membership includes sharing information about links with employers and training providers and the development of a consortium CoVE in Manufacturing engineering for South Yorkshire.
