Curriculum Development & Support Groups

Building Pathways continue to facilitate curriculum groups in

Health and Social Care,

Engineering and Construction and

Business and ICT/Computing.

The groups meet regularly to discuss current issues and remain supportive of the identified projects but in addition provide a forum for information sharing and developing new ideas both relevant to BP and of the wider strategy. In particular recent CoVE developments have been a feature of the groups as well as the links with the 14-19 activities across the boroughs. Building Pathways works through staff groups to support the development of projects. Membership of the groups is made up of managers responsible for resources of FE programmes and programme leaders and senior staff members from partner university programmes.

Some of the groups are now well established such as the Health and Social Care, Engineering and Construction groups, and we have made significant strides in forming a cohesive group in Business, Computing & ICT.

The project aims to develop new curriculum staff groups as part of the Aimhigher action plans to provide staff development, shared understanding of widening participation issues and to support Project activities.
