If you are unemployed or your job is at risk and you have either a qualification higher than GCSE ( e.g A-level, BTEC National, NVQ3, HNC/D, Foundation Degree, Degree) or have worked in a technical/managerial/supervisory position, we can help you.
If you are a recent graduate, you can obtain careers advice at the university you recently attended and should contact them in the first instance. If you have been employed in a graduate position locally since leaving university and are now unemployed or at risk of redundancy please contact us.

Higher Futures has a team of advisers based at colleges and universities across South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire ready to provide tailored one-to-one information, advice and guidance to help you assess your current situation.
Your nearest adviser will be able to provide you with an appointment or refer you to someone else who can help you. They will assess your needs and tell you about further services that you could benefit from. These could include:
- CV enhancement
- Job search techniques and resources
- Exploring other careers
- Study options
- Tasters, short courses and retraining available locally (financial support may be available)
