Enhance your skills
Many opportunities in the job market now require specific qualifications or training. So it is becoming increasingly important for individuals to update their skills. Many people are concerned that they don't have the right qualifications, their training may be out of date, or they haven't taken a course before and find the idea daunting. It's often difficult to know the right course to take and where to find it.
As well as providing career guidance, our advisers can provide information about a wide range of courses available at colleges and universities locally, and can suggest which might be right for you. Most of these are part-time or short courses designed to fit in with work and other commitments, and some are free of charge. They include support for re-skilling or retraining and may provide an opportunity to change your career direction.
There are taster courses available for most courses, with the opportunity to progress onto accredited programmes of study should you choose to do so. If you are interested in a higher level course we would encourage you to take advantage of our short induction courses, available around the region.
Speak to your local adviser for further information about any of these options. Alternatively, complete the enquiry form here, indicating in the comments box what courses you would be interested in finding out more information about.
