Call for proposals
Proposals are welcomed using one of the following formats:
Workshop (60 minutes) - with an emphasis on participation rather than presentation and participants taking away ideas for their own practice.
Paper (30 minutes, of which a maximum 20 minutes presentation and at least 10 minutes discussion) - with an emphasis on sharing practice and ideas and getting feedback from participants.
Work in progress (30 minutes, of which a maximum 10 minutes presentation and at least 20 minutes discussion) - exploring work at an early stage or of a more controversial nature.
Posters - presenting work in progress, demonstrating approaches to practice or sharing ideas.
Each proposal will be double-blind reviewed by two referees for acceptance at the conference. To support this process please ensure that there is no reference made to the authors within the body of your proposal. Each submission will be reviewed and given feedback against the following criteria:
- Relevance to the theme of the conference "Building a Community for Institutional Research in the UK and Ireland" and the sub themes.
- Clarity and coherence of the proposal including the process to be used in the session.
- Appeal to a diverse Higher Education audience.
- A contribution to scholarship, new or innovative practice, and a degree of evaluation and reflection leading to enhancement of institutional research.
- Opportunities for delegates to listen, talk and reflect. Allowing delegates to take away the lessons learnt and apply them in their own context.
Please see the feedback form that will be used for all reviews for further details.
All submissions should be made electonically by filling out the electronic submission form on this website.
