Aimhigher is a government funded widening participation initiative with the overall aim of increasing participation in Higher Education to 50% of young people by the year 2010. 

Aimhigher South Yorkshire is a partnership of Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Colleges, schools, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), Connexions and work based learning providers.  The project is based at Sheffield Hallam University.
